In this guide, you’ll learn how to earn both redeemable points and elite-qualifying status points through dining with Alaska Airlines Atmos Rewards
Signing Up
Start by signing up for Atmos Rewards Dining. You’ll enter your Atmos Rewards frequent flyer number during signup, but note that your login credentials are different from those used on the Alaska Airlines website. Once enrolled, head to your profile and link your credit or debit cards. Cards from any issuer will work.
New members can earn a signup bonus (for example, 500 points) after opting in to emails and spending $30 or more on a single dine-in or takeout order with a linked card. Bonus points do not count toward status, but all dining transactions earn redeemable Atmos points that do.
How to Earn
The program lets you earn points when you dine at participating restaurants, bars, and clubs, whether you are eating in, taking out, or ordering delivery. To track your transactions, you must add your cards. While debit cards are allowed, it is best to use a credit card since Atmos Rewards Dining identifies eligible visits only through credit card transactions.
Your card network will report transactions, and activity typically appears in your account three to five days later. A few days after your visit, you will also get an email showing the final ticket amount (including tip), the total points earned, and a review link. No extra action is needed.
Atmos Rewards credits 1,000 status points for every 3,000 partner points earned, including through dining. The points you earn directly from dining are redeemable Atmos points, but they also count toward this status points threshold.
Earning Rates
Earning rates depend on your email preferences and transaction history:
- If you do not opt in to emails, you earn 1 point per $2 spent, including food, drinks, tax, and tip
- If you do opt in to emails, you earn 3 points per $1 spent
- After 11 transactions with emails opted in, you reach VIP status and earn 5 points per $1 spent. This status lasts through the end of the current year plus the following year
There is no overall cap on points earned, though individual restaurants may set their own limits.
VIP Status
Once you complete 11 transactions and opt in to emails, you unlock VIP status and earn 5 points per $1 spent. To reach this faster, even small purchases like a to-go drink count toward the 11-transaction requirement.
How long does it take for points to post?
Points usually post within five days of dining, and you can track all activity in your Atmos Rewards Dining dashboard.
Rewards Network
Atmos Rewards Dining is part of the Rewards Network, which powers dining programs for other airlines such as American, Delta, and United. Because of this, you cannot link the same card to multiple programs. If you try, it will automatically unlink from the other account.
