You can earn both Atmos Rewards points and status points when you book eligible hotels through Stays by Alaska Vacations. This Expedia-powered booking platform offers access to nearly one million hotels, resorts, vacation rentals, and other accommodations worldwide. It’s a convenient way to earn toward your next award trip and elite status on third-party hotel bookings.
Eligible bookings earn 1 Atmos Rewards point per $1 spent and 1 status point per $1 spent.
Rocketmiles
Rocketmiles is another way to earn large amounts of Atmos Rewards points on hotel stays. Depending on the property and payout available, you can earn anywhere from 500 to 10,000 Atmos Rewards points per night when booking through Rocketmiles.
Keep in mind that Rocketmiles awards redeemable Atmos Rewards points only. These bookings do not earn Atmos Rewards status points.
Most rewards post within two weeks of checkout.
Partner hotels
You can also earn Atmos Rewards points when staying with several Alaska Airlines hotel partners. While these stays don’t earn status points, they can be a useful way to top off your account if you’re staying with one of these brands anyway and prefer to earn a currency other than hotel points.
Current hotel partners include:
- InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG): Earn up to 2 Atmos Rewards points per $1 USD (or local currency equivalent) on eligible charges, or 500 Atmos Rewards points per qualifying stay, depending on the brand.
- Best Western Hotels & Resorts: Earn 250 Atmos Rewards points per qualifying stay.
- Choice Hotels: Earn 250 Atmos Rewards points per eligible stay.
- Coast Hotels: Earn 500 Atmos Rewards points per qualifying stay.
- Marriott Bonvoy: Earn 2 Atmos Rewards points per $1 spent on qualifying charges at participating hotels, or 1 point per $1 spent on room rate at others, depending on the property.
To earn Atmos Rewards points on stays with these partners, you’ll need to change your earning preference in your hotel loyalty account from hotel points to Alaska Airlines Atmos Rewards points. You can’t earn both hotel points and Atmos Rewards points on the same stay.

Beyond the Atmos Rewards points and status points earned through eligible hotel bookings, you can earn additional status points by paying with an eligible Alaska Airlines credit card.
Eligible cardholders earn additional status points based on their credit card spending:
- Atmos Rewards Summit Visa Infinite Credit Card: Earn 1 status point for every $2 spent.
- Atmos Rewards Ascent Visa Signature Credit Card: Earn 1 status point for every $3 spent.
- Atmos Rewards Visa Signature Business Card: Earn 1 status point for every $3 spent.
