I use this website so that it informs me of the bonus offers from AA. I can set my own personalized alerts on bonus offers – which will inform me first thing in the morning when I wake up. Then, I’ll do all my shopping that day. I’m a GC so every big purchase will generate A LOT of points. The notification (text or email) from this site is MUCH EARLIER than the eShopping portal notification, which I find is half day delayed. Secondly, I love how I can see the historic trends of the bonus points by vendor. While it’s difficult to predict when future bonus offers will happen, I think the historic trend allows you to ‘estimate’ which month it will occur. SO WORTH THE MONEY if you are truly an LP Hunter!

I found Loyalty Point Hunters about a year ago when I was trying to find ways to reach higher status with American Airlines. I immediately signed up for an account to get notifications and have been able to really maximize the loyalty points that I get for my purchases. It is a great feature to be able to see what the highest points were available for a merchant (and how often it goes up and down). That way if I am able to wait to make my purchase, I can see that (for example) the points per dollar goes up to 10x every couple of weeks. Or the opposite, I can see that it never goes up and is always at 3x so I can go ahead with my purchase and no need to wait as historically it doesn’t change. So I can be confident that I’m likely getting the best value for my dollar. I will remain an unlimited member for life!

Loyalty Point Hunters allows me to be more strategic in accumulating Loyalty Points. I use the charts provided for each merchant to see historic earn rates and wait for the high point to make my purchase. The daily email summary is great too!

I joined the Facebook Group in May 2023. I went from zero Loyalty Points to Executive Platinum status with more than 270K Loyalty Points by the end of the status year. I never spent extra money to obtain status but simply followed best practices on all my organic spending (planning a long family cruise to Scandinavia for 15 helped!). It was culminating in being able to gift Qatar’s Q suite tickets to Africa for a college present and to apply a systemwide upgrade at booking on a $500 basic economy ticket for myself.
