Transferring miles between accounts costs money. If you do not have enough miles to book a reservation with a single account, you can:
- Place the reservation on hold, then call reservations with the other AAdvantage member on the line to authorize the use of their miles, or
- Book one-way reservations (e.g. two passengers for one direction of travel)
